Do You Know Your Zinc Numbers?

Jun 13, 2019

93% of 1,172 tissue samples in our area are deficient in zinc.

Zinc is a key component of several plant enzyme systems, including growth hormone production. Early in corn development, zinc is important for conversion of starch to sugar. It is also used in cell elongation and division.

This data is based on 1172 total sample volume from 2018 corn stages V5-V8.
